I just came back from my second year at Otakuthon in Montreal, which is in the French land of Quebec. Oui oui!
August 6, 2012 Otakon 2012: On the Storm's Edge
Another fantastic year at Otakon, third one and counting. Alex, Sierra and myself were on our nice little drive down to Baltimore City to enjoy a convention called Otakon, when a nasty storm decided to follow us... the whole way down.
July 31, 2012 Gopher Dunes Pro National
Round 5 of the Canadian Pro National tournament, taking place at Gopher Dunes track. I visited the track last year, this year I had to make-do without my trusty 80-200 lens. I think I still managed to get some decent shots. Plenty to see at the events, and several vendors to check out, including monster who gave out free cans of energy, woot! It was a hot day, but not as hot as last year.
Guess I'll have to wait till next year to take more shots!

Went to a demolition derby on Saturday near my town, first one that I've been at and it was actually quite exhilarating watching those cars smash and race each other!

So a new convention has come and passed, and I can tell you I had a super great time. It took place at the Kalahari Resort in Sandusky Ohio, a large hotel with large indoor and outdoor waterparks.

May 21, 2012 NEW: D800 Camera, Visit to the Zoo and Update
I received my new camera, the Nikon D800, about two weeks ago. It was an early birthday present to myself. I originally ordered the camera the day it became available to pre-order in Canada, sometime in mid-February I believe. My birthday was on May 10th and it arrived a few days early!
