Happening once a year (unlike some other con : P) , Nico Nico Chokaigi took place at the Makuhari Messe Hall located in Chiba this past weekend. I was there to take pictures, and enjoy the con.

I arrived with my brother around 1:30 after about an hour and a half long journey. After eating a quick lunch at the station, we proceeded to the con. It was a nice surprise for him for during his vacation in Japan. Line-up was quick and easy, though I’m sure we missed the majority of it prior to it opening. Thankfully.

It’s always nice to see my 友達 (friends) at any con, it’s equally as enjoyable making new ones. I had forgotten to make new business cards for this con, luckily I had a bunch leftover in my RedRibbon jacket from Anime Japan, lucky! I managed to hand the rest of them out.

Like most, I made my way to Hall 1, where we proceeded to systematically go through all the booths, skipping the interview and performance stages to do the language barrier. *insert mr. mime picture*

The weather was great! Nice breeze with cool mostly-sunny skies. Provided decent lighting between the halls and outside the north building where the major cosplay area was held. I do wish they could expand that area a bit more, it’s fairly crowded.

Booths consisted product demonstrations, merchandise, interview panels, games, artists, and a variety of other stuff. I only bought a cosplay book from one of my cosplayer friends.
